The need?

Pimples aren't just for teenagers. Over 60 million people in the US suffer from acne - across gender, age, and race. Whether it's one or many, it's stressful, embarrassing, and the last thing you want to deal with. There's been a calling for quality skincare products and we're here to offer a solution.

The role

We are looking for a Summer Sales & Marketing intern who can grow the awareness and brand advocacy of the Hero Cosmetics brand. Areas of focus include:


What you will do:

  • Focus on business development by establishing brand partnerships with other like-minded brands; Create cross-marketing opportunities with brands including email cross-promotion, social giveaways, content swaps, etc.

  • Help create our sampling plan via subscription boxes; Reach out to on-brand subscription boxes and create a pipeline of opportunity for Q2 2020 and 2021

  • Conduct survey analysis for the team across post-purchase, retention, general consumer surveys

  • Research SMS and Email capabilities and find opportunities for improvement

  • Help with general marketing duties for Growth and Website needs

  • Recruit and onboard TikTok/Youtube/Instagram influencers for the database

  • Onboard and execute influencers for IG and TikTok takeovers

  • New platform influencer gifting (Twitch, VSCO)

  • Help manage current wholesale list and create a CRM program to manage them

  • Outreach to cold leads and help sell the Hero brand and products

  • Review and onboard new and incoming wholesale applications

  • Create wholesaler marketing materials such as 1-pagers, displays, etc.

    In an ever changing digital landscape, it's important to understand and test different marketing tactics. Stay up-to-date on existing tools and strategies, while keep a pulse on new technologies.

    Analyzing user engagement and behavior is critical to a good digital strategy. Pore over data when possible to have better insight into the customer.

  • We are Customer-centric
    Understanding the customer is the first step to creating a good strategy. Create ways to interact with our customers to better understand their needs.
