Social Media Intern at Hourglass Cosmetics - Venice, CA

The Social Media Intern reports to the Social Media Coordinator and will provide support managing our growing social media platforms. You'll be successful if you have a passion to create content and help build a stronger community within the beauty industry. 

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Assist with community management on all social platforms

  • Assist Social Media team on content creation

  • Help track key social media analytics on a daily/weekly basis

  • Report competitive analysis and market research for management

  • Ideate with Social Media team to develop content calendars

  • Create engaging copy fit for various social channels

  • Schedule daily posts on various channels

  • Responsible for product requests, samplings and tracking

  • Provide support to Influencer and Marketing teams with special projects as needed

WHAT YOU'LL GAIN:

  • Extensive knowledge of the social media space from campaign development to content creation, and analytics.

  • In-depth understanding of how to develop innovative, creative, engaging social activations for a luxury brand.

  • A holistic understanding of the beauty industry in which social media encompasses: from digital marketing, creative, PR, and international retail marketing.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • An individual who displays great attention to detail, and has an artistic eye for beauty

  • Be social media savvy (Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube.

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Interest in the beauty industry

  • Professional and positive attitude
