PR Intern at Hourglass Cosmetics - Venice, CA

The PR intern reports to the Manager, Public Relations and will play a key role in daily PR tasks and long-term projects.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Maintenance of global press clippings and media tracker
Assist with product requests including packing, shipping and tracking
Organize and oversee PR closet inventory (products, collateral, shipping supplies)
Draft press materials and PR reports
Assist with events (planning, set up, gift bags, reporting)
Create and update PR contact lists
Research beauty, fashion and lifestyle trends
Participate in strategy and planning sessions
WHAT YOU'LL GAIN
Extensive knowledge of media relations, make-up artist relations, agency management, and event planning.
In-depth understanding of how to develop innovative, creative, and engaging press/influencer activations for a luxury brand.
A holistic understanding of the beauty industry from working cross-functionally with counterparts in digital marketing, creative, social media, retail and international marketing.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be available to work 2-3 days per week; minimum 3-month commitment
Extremely detailed oriented and organized
Strong MS Office and G Suite skills
Strong communicator
Previous beauty or PR experience is a plus
