Social Video Intern at Jellysmack - Los Angeles, CA
The Social Video Intern, Beauty will work out of our Los Angeles office. S/he will be responsible for assisting the content team in distributing and promoting videos across social media, as well as engaging with the communities we have built. This person will publish content across multiple platforms, as well as write copy and titles, create memes, and tag videos.
Essential Responsibilities
Support the organization of digital content workflow, including planning, creative development, editing, scheduling, publishing and quality assurance of the content
Edit stories uniquely for each specific social media platform, including YouTube and Instagram
Schedule, post, and upload pre-produced videos to video hosting platform
Draft prompts, titles, tags, and copy for tests and final posts across platforms
Create and publish projects through web platforms
Prepare content pages using internal CMS templates and templates native to platform partners
Make video content recommendations based on platform best practices as well as research
Review data reports, monitor benchmarks, and create/maintain best practices
Act as quality controller of social video posts
Meet clear objectives through a social media plan focusing on brand building, video views, revenue, and community engagement and involvement
Meet clear objectives based on content creation volume, and assist with clear objectives based on audience acquisition and video views
Identify and cultivate brand ambassadors, to convert to community members
Build, engage and manage a community on various platforms
Monitor, listen, respond, ask questions and engage audiences to cultivate organic engagement
Identify opportunities for cross-promotions and help execute partnership terms and criteria
Ad hoc tasks and/or other projects as needed relevant to video business priorities—such as helping on a shoot, finding influencers, etc.
Requirements & Qualifications
Passion for Beauty
Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite editing software and Adobe Photoshop
Ability to think critically and execute tasks accurately and efficiently
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to be independent, self-motivated, and multi-task in a fast paced environment
Highly detailed and planning oriented with exceptional follow-through and initiative
Knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest etc.), and best use cases
Positive attitude—willing to help out in all regards
Exhibit the ability to be both analytical and creative
Demonstrated skill in video editing - a reel, short form series, multi-platform, etc.
Some knowledge and skills with motion graphics
Highly motivated, creative individual with experience and a passion for connecting with current and future customers
