Retail Operations Internship at L'Occitane En Provence - New York, NY
INTERNSHIP SUMMARY:
L'Occitane is seeking a current student pursuing a major in a business or related field to join us as an intern. The intern will gain general knowledge in various aspects of retail operations and retail development through hands-on experience. The ideal candidate must be able to commit up to 28 hours/week.
INTERNSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support all visual merchandising and retail communication materials to store teams across North America
Addressing and fulfilling ad-hoc requests from the field team and filtering to the appropriate contact as needed
Support contests logistics and communications run through the operations department
Support Retail Development teams with leasing and real estate inquiries
Maintaining accuracy and organization of the Construction Binders for past and current projects
Maintain and organize the locally-sourced props and signage inventory, sourcing new props and placing orders as needed.
Assist in the preparation for new and renovated boutiques, including prop and signage orders and preparation of floor layout packets.
All other duties or projects as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION
Working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
EXPERIENCE
0-1 Years' experience in retail setting preferred.
SKILLS
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) a must.
Excellent oral, written, presentation and communication skills needed.
Planning and organization skills with the ability to manage multiple duties simultaneously.
Possess a high level of integrity – must show good judgment and confidentiality at all times.
Ability to manage deadlines.
Interest in Beauty Fashion/Retail/Sales is a plus.
PHYSICAL & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able work in normal office conditions
Must be available to work up to 28 hours per week
